Cofloc®

Atana Ltd is the sole UK supplier of Cofloc®, a non-toxic low molecular weight vegetable derived organic-cationic polymer.

Cofloc® can offer the same performance in many situations as aluminium and iron based coagulants. The reduction in sludge generation and associated disposal costs makes the range a financially attractive, as well as environmentally responsible option, for many companies.

  • 30% reduction in sludge generation compared with inorganic iron and aluminium based coagulants
  • Organic, biodegradable and from a sustainable source

Wide range of applications

Cofloc® is a coagulant aid for the sedimentation of suspended solids (colloidal matter) in industrial and municipal wastewater. It is effective in the treatment of various effluent streams, for example, within the food manufacturing industry, and it is also an effective oil emulsion treatment and demulsifier.

Sustainable source

Cofloc® is derived from the bark of the Black Wattle (Acacia mearnsii) tree. The management of the Black Wattle trees used in the manufacture of Cofloc® has been certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) as being economically viable, socially responsible and environmentally sound.

High quality

The production of Cofloc® adheres to a certified ISO 14001 environmental management system and a certified ISO 9001 quality management system.
